Some things that Romeo, Juliet, and other characters say that gives an insight to who these two characters are, is when Romeo describes his former lover, Rosaline, as wasting her beauty because she's sworn to virginity. This shows very evidently that he is a teenage boy who only wants to fulfill is personal needs and that he is obviously going through puberty. Also, Capulet says, "He bears him like a portly gentleman...Verona brags of him to be a virtuous and well governed youth." (Shakespeare, Scene 5). This explains that Romeo is a dignified gentleman but it's like he's two sided. To his elders he's a gentleman but when it comes to women he's the complete opposite. Moving on to Juliet, she seems to be an inattentive girl or as the nurse described her, "ladybird." A feature showing that she is a teenage girl with raging hormones like Romeo. You get a small glimpse as to how she is when she speaks to Romeo. She shows her kind and mature side. Also, when Romeo says, "So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows..." (Shakespeare, Scene 5), it gives you a picture to how stunning Juliet is and how much she stands out beyond the other young women.

Romeo and Juliet are characterized in many ways in the story. First, Romeo is interested in finding a girl to love that will love him back (Romeo and Juliet). Also, Romeo is depressed because he cannot find a girl that will love him back and give into his physical demands (Romeo and Juliet). Juliet is characterized as not wanting to love or be married until she sees Romeo (Romeo and Juliet). With this, she is characterized as being extremely beautiful by Romeo at the party (Romeo and Juliet). In conclusion, the story characterizes the main characters in many ways.

The main characters of Romeo and Juliet were described by both their peers and themselves in many ways. The first one is when Romeo compares Juliet to a "Dove in a flock of crows" hinting that he thought she was the most beautiful one at the party. The second, is when Juliet sends her servant to fetch Romeo's name as he is leaving the party which shows that she planned on meeting him again. The third form of characterization is when Capulet is talking to Tybalt about a Montague being at their party and he says "He bears him like a portly gentleman,

In act one, Romeo and Juliet were described in many ways. Not only did others describe them, but Romeo and Juliet also talked about one another. These descriptions were mostly distinctive and you could easily picture the person in your head.

Juliet says "My only love, sprung from my only hate." This means that even though they just me they are already enemies. Romeo is also starting to fall in love with Juliet. On page 23 she says "Nurse, give leave awhile, we must talk in secret. Nurse, come back agin; I have remembere'd me, thou shalt hear our counsel." This is saying that Juliet is very fortunate to have a nurse to be there and raise her because usually everyone couldn't afford for a nurse so that also means they are pretty wealthy. Romeo says "She stands out against the darkness like a jeweled earring hanging against the cheek of an African. Her beauty is too good for this world;" he is explaining how beautiful she is and compares her to a jewel shining by a very dark background. So she stands out a lot.

Romeo and his cousin show up to the Capulets party wearing masks. Romeo says Juliet is "A snowy dove trooping with crows." (page 31.) He also questions whether or not his heart has loved until now. He does not act shy towards Juliet. Tybalt realizes Romeo's at the party and he wants him dead, because he is an enemy. However, Capulet says to leave him alone. "Romeo compares Juliet to a holy shrine and offers his lips aas pilgrims to kiss her. She repsonds that pilgrims kiss hand to hand." (page 32.), holding hands. But he begs her to kiss him. It seems even though she's respectful, just like him, she's a little more shy than him. They both are sweet to eachother, and you can tell they're drawn to eachother.

In Act 1 Romeo & Juliet are seen to be different from those around them in Verona, Italy. The two are described in many ways. Throughout the Act, Romeo was feeling depressed about his non-acceptance from another girl. Benvolio simply tells Romeo,"...forget to think of her"(19). Romeo replies,"O teach me how I should forget to think!" also in the story the nurse(of Juliet) seems ready for Juliet to grow and married happily. Although, Juliet never thought of getting married. Physical description(between the two) suggests romance, beauty, handsomness which provides an insight the two are more likely perfect for each other. Romeo says Juliet is "like a rich jewel". Juliet also said she'd rather marry death if she cannot be with Romeo in the future.

In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet a young 13 year old girl named Juliet Capulet falls in love with the son of her families enemy Romeo Montague .Romeo is a easily swayed boy with a big heart as said by Benvolio "You are a lover. Borrow Cupid's wings and soar them above the common bound"(pg. 26) and no aspirations. Juliet is a disobedient girl who dose not have loyal mother and Romeo views her like she's the best looking girl there "So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows"(pg. 31). Romeo just going in with very little conversation kisses Juliet with out letting her complain which proves he's stubborn.

I cant say much but from what I have heard most people say that Romeo is a good person and is well behave except Tybalt of course who wants to see Romeo punished for being at the party uninvited. but for Juliet most say she is a very nice looking girl with a mother who didn't really raise her as a child. most believe there relationship will not work out due to the family past and their "name"

As we are getting deeper into "Romeo and Juliet", the two main characters develope very distinct personalities. Romeo for example is a open hearted, young, nieve boy. As Benvolio said, "You are a lover." (pg 26) He's quick to fall in love and has no hesitation about his decisions. Juliet on the other hand is nieve also but has some sense of what her heart wants whereas Romeo sees a pretty girl and assumed they are meant to be. Juliet in my eyes is independent. She was pretty much raised by her nurse which left her mother doing other stuff. The love Romeo and Juliet share has to be real. For example, on page 31 Romeo says "Beauty too rich for use, earth too dear!" As you can tell Romeo is a smooth talker and knows his way to a girls heart.

Romeo is most often characterized as charming and polite. Capulet describes him as, "a virtuous and well governed youth." While speaking to Juliet, the nurse interprets him as, "a Montague... great enemy." Romeo is also considered, "wise" by Mercutio. Some words used to construe Juliet are beautiful and young. She stands out from the crowd like a dove among crows. She has, "beauty too rich for use, for Earth too dear," according to Romeo. Juliet is "as glorious to this night... as is a winged messenger of heaven," to him.

Romeo and Juliet are charecters from a play writen by william shakespear. Romeo is the leading male figure in the play, Romeo was not always in love with juliet during the story, Romeo had feelings for another girl who did not have feelings for him as well. Romeo was a depresssed man. on page 18 romeo is described as out of love. Romeo then meets juliet and falls in love instantly. Juliet is the leading female figure in the story. Juliet is in love with Romeo but was not interested in love at all before she met Romeo. On page 25 Juliet talks about dreaming and being young. Juliet did not wish to get married so soon. Both charecters seemed to be more joyfull when they came accross eachother.

Juliet had been compared to the light in the darkness. Romeo showed an example of this when he saw juliet he compared her to a white dove in a flock of crows. This signifies her beauty and respect she has for herself and others have for her. Romeo is characterized as dignified but also has an ego. Examples of this is the gathering he attendeds. This shows his ego because it is his families enemies gathering and he thought he would go unnoticed. Another example is how he was talking to juliet and he thought she was just going to jump right into a relationship after "love at first sight".

In Romeo & Juliet, both show signs of love for each other. For example Juliet says "Go ask his name- if he is married, my grave is likely to be my wedding band", meaning that she could not bare to live with herself if he was married. She also said "My only love sprung from my only hate, too early seen unknown, and known too late" meaning that she hates the fact she met him so late in her life. Romeo also has strong feelings for her, such as when he said "Beauty too rich for use, earth too dear! So snows a snowy dove trooping with crows." He basically said her beauty is more than rich and she is the most beautiful girl he's ever encountered. Both characters seem to enjoy each others presence.

In the book Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet have just meet at a party that juliets family is having. And in that specific scene you get a lot of characteristics of each other. Like how Romeo describes Juliet like a dove in a flock of crows saying how she stands out from all the other girls at the party or when he says she looks like an earring on an African women. Trying to show how she stands out and she is all his eyes focuse on. On that same scene Romeo is also given lots of characteristics like how capullus describes him as being polite and well behaved. I think one major characteristic he shows in the way he speaks is that he doesn't have lots of confidence in himself and a very low self-esteem. Because while he is flirting with with Juliet he says how she should kiss his ugly hand. At the beginning he also shows to be sad and very independent

Romeo is a depressed character who loved a girl named Roseline. He falls in love easily and has a really big ego. Juliet is described as a white dove in a crowd of doves. She is beautiful and wants to take it slow in relationships. She is young, quiet, and a beautiful lady but wants you to prove you love her. Romeo is an attractive young man that is easily attracted by beauty.
